Previously
based in Tokyo and Los Angeles, sculpture, installation and performance
artist Barbara Hashimoto relocated to Chicago in 2006 as Artist-in-Residence
at BauerLatoza Studio, a multidisciplinary architectural design
firm.
Born in New Jersey and educated at Yale, Hashimoto’s work
has been exhibited throughout The U.S., Europe, Japan, and The
Middle East and is in more than 300 public and private collections
including The Smithsonian Institution’s Museum of American
Art, The Museum of Arts and Design, and The National
Museum of Women in the Arts. more>
